Earle Covert and I were birding SW of Lethbridge and stopped at Mountain View (approx. 80 km. from Lethbridge)to check out a bird feeder we know about. One male Red-winged Blackbird was at the feeder. Its wing-bars were dull, like it was a first-year bird, but it seemed to be in good shape. It was our first of the year.
