As luck would have it, our tulips emerged while staff and students were on Spring Break! The picture shows the tulip plants 2 weeks after they emerged. There appears to be more still trying to break through. We have 5 plants that broke through on the other side of our fenced-in garden. Students will be hypothesizing how that could have happened!
