This afternoon about 3:30 PM my wife Michele and I were relaxing on the front porch swing admiring our butterfly/hummingbird/varmint garden after working the garden all day when all of a sudden I caught sight of him out of the corner of my eye. He hung around about 10 minutes and feasted on Penta and Cleome. He was so flighty I only managed to get a couple of pictures and then just like he appeared, he was gone. This is much, much earlier than our first sighting last spring or I should say late summer or early fall.
