Monarch butterflies are arriving BUT the milkweed has NOT come out yet. We had a late ice storm and it has hindered the growth of Milkweed. None of our local nurseries carry "safe" milkweed. I had to go 2hours north to get some "safe" milkweed. I ordered some on line, it came as a bare root plant. I have now planted some full sized plants and my last year plants are finally emerging. I am hopeful for some caterpillars. The last 2 years, I haven't had many and all of last years' caterpillars died.
