Many monarch eggs sighted in the Sierra foothills today on scattered Asclepias cordifolia milkweed plants that were growing in a small meadow next to tall oak and pine trees at 2,084 feet elevation roughly 50 miles east of Sacramento, Calif. Near the intersection of Omo Ranch Rd and Mt.Aukum Rd south of the town of Somerset, Calif.
