After learning about the plight of the Monarch butterflies last summer (2013) I decided to turn my 2.5 undeveloped acres into a certified Monarch Waystation and habitat. With the help of my 84-year-old mother, Monarch Meadow (as it is now called)currently has six A. Verticillatas, two A. Tuberosas, over eighty A. Curassavicas, and a host of nectar plants such as phlox, zinnias, verbena, a variety of wild flowers, and more. We're aiming to open a milkweed nursery for Tennesseans in July 2014.
