A ruby-throated hummingbird sighting was reported by Roy Pilcher in Windham, Vermont. This is early, but observer reported that flight and size in his split second view convinced him to make report. "Very powerful and persistent south wind and temperatures approaching 70 degrees F would tend to make the observation plausible," reports eBird.
