On this beautiful spring Sunday I saw quite a few flying, nectaring, and egg-laying monarchs. It was a mostly overcast day of around 75 degrees F. I was mostly focused on inspecting the milkweed plants, trying to photograph the eggs, tiny larvae, bugs, and spiders, but could not help notice when a delightful monarch fluttered or sailed past. The photo is of a monarch female nectaring on Asclepias viridis milkweed flowers.
