Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/13/2014

Number: 1

Some milkweeds have more than one egg or larva on them. In this photo there are two small monarch caterpillars getting their food from the unbloomed buds of an Asclepias viridis milkweed plant. Often one can find a tiny larvae completely inside one of the buds, with just a small opening as a clue there might be someone inside the little dome.
