Milkweed (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/16/2014

Number: 1

This stand of Asclepias tuberosa is part of the landscaping around Justin Hall on the KSU campus. The reason for its advanced state
of growth, as compared to A. tuberosus stands in the prairies in the area, is that this stand is nestled against the south-facing wall of a stone building and is therefore in a sheltered and warmer location.
