I think this is a bunting. First time observed one in my yard.
Male and female feeding on hanging feeder with Morning Song Trail Mix (a mixture of nuts, safflower, black oil sunflower seeds sunflower chips and raisins).
Cloudy and didn't get good pic of female. Had to shoot pics through patio glass to keep from frightening off birds.
