Four Monarch caterpillars from small to large eating the leaves of a bush growing in my front yard. (The bush has red/yellow flowers in clusters, the sap is white). I didn't think they were vulnerable so I left them. They disappeared. In the year 2011 I succesfully tended five pupae which resulted in five, large beautiful Monarchs,.
