We saw our first male ruby throat of the year today! He came to our feeder at about 6 pm, and returned two more times to feed and rest. We were getting 20 to 30 knot winds out of the NW all day, not ideal conditions for a journey north for something so tiny. Is this little male just stopping for a brief rest, or will he stay all summer?
