We are here in Lake Minchumina, all the 7th and 8th graders of Iditarod Area School District. I thought FOR SURE I'd see some Robins but no! Lake Minchumina is on the shores of Denali (Mt. McKinley). Stunningly beautiful here. Anyway, I thought since Lake Minchumina was further east from Shageluk I'd see Robins but no, nothing!
We're here until Apr 25. Temps 30-50 degrees F. each day we're here, so far.

Oh, geese and some Trumpeter Swans. First time I've seen Trumpeter Swans!
