Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/23/2014

Number: 1

I arrived home from work at 3:00pm and a very large monarch fluttered past me. It was dark in color so I am assuming it was not one that made the long migration back. It was beautiful!

I think what is going on is several classes at my school and most likely in my area "raise" butterflies for classroom experiences. Some have done monarchs and others painted ladies. I have a feeling this one was part of one of these programs. The beginning of the week was warm here and nice enough to release their butterflies.
