We missed getting to count number twenty yesterday but got
oh, so close. I'm really surprised at the number of faded
monarchs still passing thru ... they must have really left
central Mexico late and then have taken their time. Maybe
this late bunch are going to get to the milkweed in OK and
KS when the weather is better. There is corn down here in
Calhoun and Victoria Counties that is over knee high.
I'm figuring it is almost over for us ... hit 91 yesterday,
so we make hurricane plans and listen to how y'all handle
the rest of the season. We wish y'all the best! Now it is
going to be birding time here on the middle of the coast ...
