Today was a beautiful spring day here in SW Kansas. Tulips are past prime, but fruit trees are blooming and the native currant thickets are in full bloom. They smell delightful! The sphinx moths are drawn to them day and night. I have seen a Red Admiral butterfly, a Queen, white sulphur, and a gray hairstreak. With all this activity, I truly HOPE this year will be a good one for all species of butterflys & moths. As an optimist I have host plants planted everywhere!!
