Today at 9:04 AM I spotted the first hummingbird of the season...YEAH! It was a male and visited only briefly 2 of the 7 feeders I have out. It was 46 degrees and sunny. This is the earliest(by 2 days) than any other spotting I have had in the last 5 yrs, which surprised me after the long, cold winter we had. I waited by the window for quite a while and worked out in the yard later in the day waiting for his return. He must have just stopped for "fuel". Looking forward to seeing my regulars a little later and knowing that if I stand still for 5 minutes, I'm bound to see on fly by!
