Woo-Hoo, finally had a hummer today! We've had our feeders out for 2 & a half weeks to make sure we were ready for our sorely missed little friends! 1 male Ruby Throat was feeding from our feeder at 1:15 pm this afternoon. We just happened to look out & saw him there & were so excited! We don't know how long he'd been there or if he sampled our Columbines & Salvia or not. He was only there for about 2 minutes, then rested in the tree next to the feeder & then flew off to parts unknown. He didn't come back, so I'm assuming this was just a stopover for him on his long journey North. Hopefully it won't be long for our regular residents to return home to us!
