A flock of 16 Common Loons landed at Lake Holcombe mid-morning on 4/23. They hung around for several hours, and then all but 6 remained through 4/24. On 4/24, 2 Loons seranaded me all day as I worked in the yard...music to my ears. The other 4 Loons would go off feeding, and then return for a while. Two Loons have been hanging around here 4/25, feeding. I haven't seen them since this afternoon. We've never seen so many loons at one time - an awesome sight!
