Tulips BLOOMED
Sightings report image

Date: 04/11/2014

Number: 1

Most of our tulips have emerged and our tulips have started to bloom! We noticed that the flower patch that was in the shade, which was the auditorium, had no flowers that had bloomed and in the garden patch that had sun, every single bud had bloomed!
The tallest tulip was about 42 cm! The smallest tulip was ½ a cm tall! Two flowers were 11 centimeters tall.
Recently we made two charts showing the temperature and the height shortest to tallest.
One graph shows the tallest to smallest tulips in four different areas.
Also about 1/3 of our tulips are squished, picked, or have broken stems.
The most tulips bloomed in the recess area because the sun was shining on that side. The Front Yard had less flowers blooming because they were in the school’s shadow. The lowest temperature is in the recess area which is 47 ° F. The highest temperature is behind the auditorium which is 72° F.
Yea for the Red Emperor tulips.
