Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/27/2014

Number: 1

We’re still seeing Monarchs in our area. The first fresh monarchs started appearing about April 24th, and we're seeing more now (pictured here on April 27th). We're also still seeing a few remigrants (from Mexico) — we had a female laying eggs at our house on Friday…and a male in the thistle fields today. The native milkweed in the surrounding fields is just about peaking…..it's everywhere.

Temperature today was 93 with SW breezes
Same thing predicted for tomorrow….then a front lowers our highs to mid to low 80’s
