Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 04/27/2014

Number: 1

Now have milkweed. One almost blooming in a couple of days, and another a short few days before blooming, and another 10 or so, I'm guessing about how many, plants that are not blooming but may this week.

No monarchs seen anywhere this week. I did see a Giant Swallowtail plus another one on the side of the road, a few Pearlie-eyed small ones and a couple of moths.

I did not see Monarchs in the grassland and no eggs and have not seen Monarchs in town or on the road this week. Hope this is not an indication of populations with these animals.

We are having really intense episodes of weather, rain and lightning so that could not be very good for monarchs either especially when they get caught out in the open.
