Sightings report image

Date: 04/25/2014

Number: 1

This is a photo of the same bright-winged female who was so curious about the caterpillar on one of the milkweed plants. Here she is shown laying an egg on an Asclepias viridis milkweed. She went to quite a few different plants laying eggs -- one on each. She also caught the attention of a male monarch who chased her high into the sky, though she eluded him and went back to laying eggs. And I am sure peeking in on caterpillars now and then!
