This morning it was cool & foggy, but has become a mostly sunny day in the low 80's -- lovely breezes with the scent of blooming wildflowers and tree blossoms. I don't see near as many flying monarchs as in the past weeks, but they do still show up now and then nectaring and egg-laying. This is a 3rd instar monarch caterpillar resting on the underside of a leaf -- trying not disturb him as he is so serene.
