"Saturday, April 26 was this year’s ice-out day for Forest Lake, declared by Corbett Johnson, the lake-side resident who tracks the event annually. Ice stayed on Second Lake the longest, Johnson said, while the other two basins were clear the day before. The ice-out date is one of the latest on record; Last year’s date of May 4 was the latest."
