Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/02/2014

Number: 3

I put out 1 Humming Bird feeder a week ago. this morning, I saw a male Hummingbird at the feeder. Next, he sat on a wire tomato cage about 10 feet away. He sat there for more than 5 minutes, so I quickly made fresh nectar. When I put out the fresh nectar, I saw another Hummingbird. I also saw a female Hummingbird. They did their swooping/darting dance. I placed 3 more feeders in the front and backyards. I have observed that only 1 bird at a time will drink at a feeder. I saw that the Hummingbirds went to the tree they've nested in before. Just wondering if they will nest there again.
