Oriole (1st Baltimore)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/02/2014

Number: 1

Observed our first mature male Baltimore Oriole of the season on May 1, 2014 at our oriole feeder. We offer halved fresh oranges and a dish of grape jelly. Only noted the oriole visiting once on 5/1 but have been observing mature male returning repeatedly to feeder on 5/2. Feeder is located in front yard, outside our LR windows, on a town street with car and Amish buggy traffic. Other feeders are close-by, visited by finches, starlings, sparrows, grackles, cardinals and woodpeckers. Our orioles also visit our hummingbird feeder.
