Monarch caterpillar was on a Asclepias cancellata, Wild Cotton. This is the first time on this plant while the Asclepis curassavica was close and was not chosen. The cancellata also came through the winter of low 20 degree temperatures fully leafed and ready for the butterflies while the cancellata is just now leafing out.
