Around noon today this beautiful female monarch was born! I had brought several caterpillars in to raise inside and on April 22 the first one changed into a chrysalis. Then today, 10 days later, this butterfly emerged from the chrysalis. This is photo of her several hours after her emergence when she is about ready to fly.
