Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/03/2014

Number: 1

I heard the familiar humming around 3 pm and looked around to see that a female was going to my feeder on the porch but saw me and flew to my Oriole feeder further away. I then saw it at another feeder soon after. Later in the evening I saw a male Ruby throated as well, sipping from my feeders. I have two mounted, and I have a feeling that the male is from last year since it was not afraid of me like the female. So happy to see them back.
