Right after seeing a Scarlet Tanager in my yard, I saw my first male hummingbird of the season!! The latter was on one of my nectar feeders. I set up my feeders about 2 weeks ago. Last year I saw males at the beginning and tail end of the season. My residents were largely female. I wonder if this year will be the same.
