Very worn, but not tattered individual was nectaring on hoary puccoon (Lithospermum canescens) in section of tallgrass prairie that was burned 04/01/14. There did not appear to be any milkweed sprouting in the immediate area.

Sunny, warm, 60 - 70 F, slightly breezy.

Last visited this area Aril 28, 2014 - no Monarchs seen.
