Ha!!! Just got home from a week down in Florida. Have had the feeders up since April 24th. I just loaded a 2nd feeder up for the front yard and placed it outside with several strands of bright red Mardi Gras beads around the pole to attract them. And it worked. Less than one hour later, we had our first (male) Ruby Throated Hummer. I did load the nectar up with additional sugar and he stayed on the feeder for at least five minutes drinking and looking at the red beads.
