Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/04/2014

Number: 1

While drinking our morning coffee on our back patio, my husband and I were watching the grackles that are attempting to take over our trees again this spring. All of a sudden there was a small creature flitting around in the low branches of our Chinese Elm tree. We realized it was a hummingbird. It landed a couple of times for a rest on a branch before continuing to fly throughout our yard. Later in the afternoon we saw one of our neighbors hummingbird feeder.
