I moved to Long Island last fall from Williamsburg, Virginia, where I was very spoiled with many Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds. I recently purchased the necessary equipment to see if I could lure a Hummingbird, or 12, up in this neck of the woods. Today my prayers have been answered. My first Hummingbird arrived today on May 5th, 2014. I will appropriately refer to this new arrival as "cinco de mayo" (May 5th).
