FEELING AWFUL! over 9 butterflies eclosed today but all but two had wrinkled wings and some had their chrysalis stuck on them. i tried to save them but then i looked online and learned about OE, the deadly spore infection they get. i see a female that i believe is infected but flying all over mating and mating and depositing more diseased eggs on my milkweed plants. i don't know what to do. i don't want to kill her, and i don't want her to be alive... also, I'm not 100% she is infected i would have to look closely at her abdomen, but so far all of my butterflies seem to have the grey ugly abdomen that is typical as OE butterflies. NOTE: i am examining all my caterpillars and none have that ugly "dirt" present on them. they look absolutely fine. so i will see if they escaped the OE, but i doubt it. it must be all over the plants they are ingesting. :( any advice appreciated.
