Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/08/2014

Number: 1

On Sunday 5/4/14 I put up 1 feeder along with grape jelly & oranges for the Orioles. Monday night at 10:30 I let the dog out and noticed that a Bear had bent the shepherds hook to the ground for the jelly, I guess I should have waited with the jelly! I didn't have time Wednesday night to straighten the pole. Last night I fixed the pole, cleaned & filled the feeder. At 5:30pm I saw the first little guy drinking! It's really nice to see them back. At 7:30 there were two males at the feeder.
