Saw my first hummer at 5pm!!! He came to the feeder right before the rain started. The Orioles (male & female were eating right before hummer showed up) are now eating orange slices and leaving the hummer's food alone. Saw my first Red Admiral butterfly (migrate) yesterday nectaring at perennial flowers in the greenhouse at Chippewa Valley Growers on the east side of Eau Claire. Dandelions have been blooming so the Cabbage Whites should be eclosing, too, followed by the lovely silvery blue Spring Azures. Spring is finally here!!! :-)
