We observed a single monarch checking out the blooming dames rockets in the garden at our home on the Knobs. It did not alight for long and we are uncertain of the gender. The monarch was brightly colored and fresh...not a Mexican migrant...I haven't found any eggs yet (5/14) though I have lots of milkweed up...
