We saw one male Baltimore Oriole on May 10, 2014 drinking from an oriole feeder we put up a couple days before. He drank a couple of times on the 1st day ... then, we saw him drinking no more than once a day. A female was sighted on May 11 (the 2nd day) flying around ... but she did not land on the feeder at all. On May 12, we put a slice of orange under a tree branch near the feeder ... no bite that morning ... then a couple bites in the late afternoon. Today May 13, we added another new slice of orange and saw the male again perched on the tree branch eating the orange for quite a few minutes in the late afternoon again. The feeder has not been touched again. No sight of the female.
