I saw my first male Baltimore Oriole about 8:45 am this morning. They seem to be not very abundant in my area, at least I only see them rarely. Today, he was sitting on a branch of a Norwegian Spruce tree overlooking my pond. He sat there for a few minutes, looking around, then flew off behind me over the roof of our house.
I hope this is good news to come and that he finds a suitable female to settle down with! He was a very bright orange, so I'm sure he will find a suitable mate!
