Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/10/2014

Number: 2

saw mail ruby throat first - about three days later saw female. They appear to have arrived a bit later this year.

Last year, only appeared to have the one male and two females - not as much activity at the feeder - BUT - we were loaded with praying mantis here last year, which I've read are one of their predators? So perhaps the eggs or juveniles did not survive; which would explain the long intervals between sightings at my two feeders.
