I had 2 monarch caterpillars from on my milkweed that were enormous. I cut some of the milkweed and put into a safe container. Soon thereafter they made chrysllis' and a few days later I had 2 beautiful butterflies that I released. It's such a satisfying accomplishment to no that I saved 2 more. I have lots of milkweed plants and watch them all the time to see what's going on. I still have a few caterpillars growing, but I will let nature take its course and leave them alone.
