The first adult monarch I have seen this year showed up in our yard, at 12:10pm. The outdoor thermometer says 71 degrees F, and it is sunny today. We have 4 milkweed up, but most of these plants are green shoots, an inch or two high. We have one milkweed that is leafed out, and about 6 inches high. We do have many plants that are flowering right now, including blueberry, creeping charlie, columbine, dandelion, and wild violet.
