On May 19th we observed, for the first time ever, a beautiful neon orange bird at our suet feeder. This was at the end of a very rainy day just before sunset. The next day, 05/20/14, it was at the feeder again ravenously eating the suet so we put out orange halves which it devoured. It seemed to be a bit of a bully with the robins, chickadees and sparrows that were interested in all the excitement. We were thrilled thinking we would have nesting orioles in the trees in an adjacent park. However, we've not seen any sign of the oriole since late on the 20th.
