A monarch egg was spotted on Asclepias speciosa milkweed that was growing along an alfalfa crop irrigation ditch and adjacent to Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville, Nevada, May 25, 2014. Here is a 1 1/2 minute video showing the monarch egg, the milkweed and the landscape:
