On May 27 on desertleps@yahoogroups.com Ken Davenport, a highly experienced lepidopterist reported seeing “Monarch (Danaus plexippus) singletons at Pine Creek Canyon” near the tiny town of Rovana, Calif. which is about 10 miles northwest of the city of Bishop, Calif.
