Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/10/2014

Number: 10

It was early May and my husband said that he thought it would be a good idea if I put out the hummingbird feeders (we had a warm spell where we live..southern New Jersey.) Sure enough, no sooner had I hung the first feeder out, they came! In came one, then two and before I knew it, there was actually a feeding frenzy going on! It was great! I know male Ruby Throated for sure and females as well. After about a week, the frenzy died down to one or two a day to only a few of the feeders. I am only finding out now that the migration is just really beginning here in Jersey. Love the hummers!
