We were outside enjoying a Baptism/Memorial day celebration when we saw a monarch flying around in our backyard which is boardered by a woodsy area. It fluttered around for ahile and I was hoping it would go over to the patio where I have many milkweed plants waiting. But I think there were too many people around and it flew away before I could tell if it was a male or female. I have not seen any since, but I was excited to see one and will continue to watch so I can raise them for my 5th year.
